News Machine Firm Spends $2.25M On Westborough PropertyThree partners in Component Sources International, a machine shop in Southborough, have bought 121 Flanders Road in Westborough for $2.25 million. "We're currently leasing space in Southborough and have been for nine years and we decided it's time to have our own home," said Stephen Doody, president and owner of Component Sources. He and his two French business partners Robert Hugard and Gilles Bossonnet, who also have their own specialized machining businesses under the Component Sources umbrella, bought the building together as BDH Realty Co. LLC of Southborough. They plan to move into the new building in May. The company started 21 years ago in Framingham, and as it expanded, it has moved west to Marlborough, Southborough and now Westborough. The company has about 40 employees and has used the recession to expand the staff with skilled workers, he said. The company serves a number of different industries, including aerospace and medical, making it able to withstand tough times because there are always markets that are doing well, he said. The building is 27,267 square feet on almost three acres, and was once home to American Superconductor, which is now headquartered in Devens. |
